¿What is Agromin?

It is an initiative to bring together multi-stakeholders of national and international importance that forces us to evaluate, recognize and value a rational management of renewable and non-renewable resources on the basis of which we can plan, for the medium and long term, for the development of our country.

Permanent activities derived from agriculture and mining can and must follow a mining and metallurgical activity, which is less permanent because it depends on the mineral reserves of its deposits, which in order to be incorporated into the production process have necessarily required significant investments in infrastructure, which can and should be used for the development of agricultural and livestock activities.

AGROMIN has been conceived as a Convention that will show, in addition to the benefits of the sectors involved (Agriculture and Mining), the unexploited potential of the country, a fertile field for applied research, the training of technicians and professionals demanded by the sectors involved.

Agriculture and mining, both activities are inseparable, they do not compete, they are complementary and stimulate each other, each activity is modernizing its technologies every day, improving their use, using similar techniques in the production process, optimizing the use of water as an indispensable factor for their development and permanence, they are integrated to society and additionally, their impact on the economy is transcendent.
